What restrictions should I expect with shore tour options if I'm in a wheelchair?
Wheelchair accessibility for shore tours - Organised shore tours: These usually require guests to board and alight vehicles unassisted. If this isn’t possible, participation may not be feasible.
Guests must inform the team at the time of booking if they plan to use a wheelchair during shore tours. This is crucial because not all ports have wheelchair-adapted tour buses and alternative arrangements may be needed.
Where adapted buses are unavailable, the Destination Experience Team may be able to organise a taxi to accommodate wheelchair users
Tender ports – important notes
Guests confined to a wheelchair unfortunately cannot be brought ashore via tender for safety reasons.
Collapsible wheelchairs may be allowed if the user needs minimal assistance and can safely board and disembark. This is at the discretion of the ship’s security team on the day.
