Liverpool Cruise Terminal Overview

Blue Badge Parking
  1. Guests must notify CPS at the time of booking.
  2. They’ll be directed to drive directly to the Cruise Terminal.
  3. CPS will inspect the car and retain the keys for the duration of the cruise.
  4. Upon disembarkation, the car will be ready in the terminal car park and keys returned.
Terminal Facilities
  1. Very small terminal with no waiting area prior to check-in.
  2. Toilets available.
  3. No café or refreshment options.
Pier Head Berth
  1. A floating pontoon ensures the gangway remains at a consistent slope regardless of tide - therefore a mobility bus is provided to avoid going on the Linkspan* (see pictures below).
Check-in
  1. No wheelchair assistance is available on arrival at the terminal.
  2. Guests with limited mobility are directed to a separate check-in area with seating, avoiding the need to queue. They will need to walk to the desk for a mobility assessment.
  3. After check-in, guests proceed to a small security area.
  4. A mobility bus (fully wheelchair adapted) transports guests from the terminal to the gangway.
  5. Terminal announcements will guide guests to the mobility bus.
Disembarkation
  1. No formal wheelchair assistance is provided.
  2. Guests with limited mobility can use the mobility bus from the gangway to the terminal.
  3. Guests that have booked their car parking with CPS will collect their luggage at the car park.

* A linkspan is a floating pontoon. This means that regardless of tide the gangway will always be at the same angle and sloped. This means that guests are required to negotiate a Linkspan. This can be very steep if the tide is low at either embarkation or disembarkation. For this reason the Port Of Liverpool offer a mobility bus from the cruise terminal to the gangway (or gangway to cruise terminal) for guests who are unable to manage.
