T2620 - Skjolden Port Time Change

We’re looking forward to welcoming you on board Bolette for your Mountains and Fjords of Norway cruise

We’re writing to let you know about a small change to the times we’ll be at port in Skjolden and share everything you need to know.

What’s changing?
Our visit to Skjolden on 24 August will now take place from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.
Scenic cruising through Sognefjord and Lustrafjord will now take place in the morning and early afternoon, rather than the evening.

Why have we made this change?
Skjolden is a small and unspoilt village, and to preserve its charm and create the best possible experience, we aim to be the only ship in port during our visits. Based on recent guidance from the local port authority, we’ve adjusted our timings to help reduce congestion, ensuring you can enjoy the village’s peaceful, authentic atmosphere at its very best.

Your experience of fjord scenic cruising:
This change allows us to spend more time gently sailing through Sognefjord and Lustrafjord, giving you the opportunity to relax and truly savour the scenery as it unfolds around you.
· Sognefjord, known as the King of the Fjords, is Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, stretching over 127 miles and framed by towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and picturesque villages dotted along the shoreline.
· Lustrafjord, the innermost branch of Sognefjord, is often considered one of Norway’s most beautiful landscapes, with turquoise glacial waters, dramatic scenery and a rich sense of history.

We’ll cruise these breathtaking fjords from breakfast until after lunch, giving you plenty of time to relax and take in the scenery from the comfort of Bolette.

While we appreciate changes can sometimes feel disappointing, we’re confident these adjustments will enhance your cruise, allowing us to showcase the very best of Norway’s fjords.

What if I’ve booked a tour?
If you’ve booked a tour or excursion with us, please keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll be in touch shortly with everything you need to know. The good news is that we expect most of our programme to go ahead as planned, with a few adjusted timings.

If you’ve booked a tour or excursion independently, please contact your provider.
