Whilst your Mountain
Landscapes of the Norwegian Fjords cruise is still a little way off, we
wanted to get in touch to let you know about some updates to your itinerary and
explain what this means for your time onboard.

What this means for you

24 August
|
Skjolden
|
We’ll now be able to dock
alongside the pier, rather than using tender boats, making it easier and more
comfortable for you to go ashore. To allow for this, our time ashore will be
slightly shorter, from 9.30am until 1.00pm. This adjustment also means you
can enjoy more scenic cruising along the way

25 August
|
Ulvik
|
Our planned visit to Ulvik
will be replaced with a call to Eidfjord, where we’ll be able to dock
alongside the pier rather than using tender boats, as would have been the
case. This will make going ashore easier and more comfortable, allowing you
to enjoy your time in port with greater ease

We’ve added scenic cruising
of Furebergfossen.

Sandnes
|
We’ll now be visiting
Haugesund, replacing our planned call to Sandnes.

Why have we made these
changes?
We’ve made these updates with
your comfort and enjoyment firmly in mind, guided by two key considerations:
First,
we’ve recently been advised a large oil industry conference will be taking
place in Sandnes on what was our scheduled port day. Continuing with the
visit would have significantly affected access ashore and your experience in this
beautiful destination.
Second,
we’ve carefully considered the number of ports where we would need to anchor
and use tender boats to take you ashore. With several tender ports planned in
close succession, we recognised this could reduce the time and ease with which
you’re able to enjoy each destination.
Why have we chosen these
destinations?
Eidfjord sits at the heart of the
Hardangerfjord and is surrounded by some of Norway’s most striking natural
scenery. Framed by steep mountains, waterfalls and tranquil fjord waters, it
offers a peaceful setting with plenty to enjoy at a relaxed pace. From gentle
walks along the waterfront to scenic viewpoints and nearby waterfalls, Eidfjord
is an easy and rewarding place to explore.
Haugesund lies on a dramatic
stretch of Norway’s west coast, surrounded by rugged shoreline, open sea views
and rolling countryside. Closely linked to Norway’s Viking past and the
country’s earliest kings, it offers a fascinating sense of history alongside
its natural beauty. With scenic coastal walks, historic sites and a compact
centre, it’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to spend time ashore.
Furebergfossen is
one of Norway’s most striking waterfalls, tumbling dramatically from the
mountainside into the fjord below. As we enjoy scenic cruising past the falls,
you’ll have the chance to take in the scale and beauty of the surrounding
landscape from the comfort of the ship.
