about your Charming Spanish Cities and Autumn Warmth cruise.
Whilst your departure is still
some time away, we wanted to let you know about a change to your itinerary and
give you all the details as soon as possible.
What’s changing?
Our planned visit to Cartagena on 7 October will now be replaced with a
call to Melilla.
Why have you made this change?
We’ve chosen to call at Melilla rather than Cartagena as it gives you the
opportunity to explore a destination that’s a little more off the beaten path.
This lesser‑visited port offers a different perspective on the region, with its
blend of cultures, history and relaxed atmosphere, and reflects our approach of
taking you to places that feel distinctive and rewarding to discover.
Why Melilla?
Melilla is an autonomous Spanish city on the North African coast, close to the
Moroccan border. Shaped by a unique blend of cultures Spanish Catholic,
Moroccan Islamic, Jewish and Hindu, it offers a fascinating mix of historic
architecture, lively streets and rich cultural heritage, with plenty to explore
during your time ashore.

A few helpful reminders:
Your Journey Guide, which includes details of
tours, experiences and your cruise, will be sent to you at least 12 weeks
before you embark Balmoral.
We’ll send your cruise ticket three weeks before
your check‑in day.
Your luggage labels will follow shortly after,
arriving by post approximately two weeks before you set sail
