S2618 - Update to Your Itinerary

We’re looking forward to welcoming you on board Borealis for your Picturesque Lochs and Isles of Scotland cruise.

We’re writing to let you know about a small change to your itinerary and share everything you need to know.

What’s changing?
Instead of visiting Portree on 30th July, we’ll now be calling at Ullapool.
There are no other changes to your itinerary.

Why have we made this change?
We’ve recently been advised of significant construction works at the landing area in Portree. Unfortunately, this would affect the tendering arrangements and limit the experience we could offer when going ashore, both for independent exploration and organised shore excursions.

Our priority is always your experience which is why we’ve taken the decision to make this change.

Why Ullapool?
Ullapool is a charming fishing village set on the shores of Loch Broom, surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the northwest Highlands. It’s well known for its beautiful scenery, welcoming atmosphere and excellent local seafood.

Please note that Ullapool is a tender port (as Portree was), meaning we’ll anchor offshore and use our tender boats to transfer you ashore.

What if I have a tour booked?
If you’ve booked a shore excursion with us for Portree, you’ll receive a further email later this week outlining the available excursions in Ullapool.
To make a booking, please contact our Destinations team on 01473 746 163 (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm).
  1. If your new excursion costs less, we’ll refund the difference.
  2. If it costs more, we’ll ask you to pay the difference.
  3. If we don’t hear from you within seven days of the email being sent, we’ll automatically cancel your original excursion and refund the payment card used.
If you’ve arranged an independent tour, we recommend contacting your provider directly to discuss alternative arrangements.
