Medical facilities
All medical facilities onboard our ships meet or exceed the standards set by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
Each ship is equipped to provide both inpatient and outpatient care. Our medical teams are highly experienced professionals from across Europe, all with a minimum of 3 years training in acute care prior to working at sea.
As a minimum, each ship is staffed by:
· 1 Doctor
· 3 Nurses
· 1 Medical Administrator
A 24-hour service is available for both guests and crew.
· Medical services onboard operate as a private healthcare service, and charges apply
· We are unable to dispense NHS prescriptions, including repeat prescriptions
· Due to the nature of medical care, it is not always possible to provide detailed quotes in advance however Consultation fees are clearly displayed and can be provided on request
Medication Storage and Advice
· Your cabin cooler is not suitable for storing medication, the Medical Facility can safely store it for you, this service is provided free of charge — please visit the Medical Centre to discuss your needs.
· Always pack essential medications in your hand luggage
· If you forget or lose your medication, please inform the medical team as soon as possible, whilst we carry a wide range of medications onboard, availability is more limited than in a shore-based pharmacy. If a specific medication is not available, we will do our best to source it at a port of call.
