What happens on embarkation day?
Welcome aboard! Your embarkation day guide
Embarkation day is finally here—the months of waiting are over and it’s time to welcome you on board!
Here’s a quick guide to help you navigate day one of your cruise, specifically for sailings departing from the UK.
Arrival at the port
To help ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please arrive no earlier than your allocated check-in time.
When you arrive:
You’ll be greeted by our friendly ground agents.
They’ll take care of your large luggage and deliver it to your cabin.
You’ll keep your carry-on bag and any suit or dress bags with you.
Don’t forget to pop a luggage label on your carry-on too!
Security & check-in
Next, you’ll head through security and then check in with our lovely team. Please have the following ready:
Your cruise ticket
Your passport
The payment card you'd like to link to your on board account (American Express cards not accepted)
Once checked in, you’ll receive your cruise card, which is your key to everything on board:
It opens your cabin door
It’s used for all on board purchases
You’ll need it to disembark and re-embark the ship at ports
Colleagues will be on hand at the allergy desk to discuss any dietary requirements and or food allergies
Boarding the ship
Follow the signs and our crew will guide you to the ship.
As you step over the gangway or airbridge, you will scan your cruise card—and just like that, you’re officially on board! (Please note that you will not be given a plastic wallet or lanyard for your cruise card. However, lanyard's can be purchased on board in the Sea Cove Shop).
Now you’re on board
The ship is yours to explore!
Many of our facilities—including pools, bars and the spa—will be ready for you to enjoy.
Dining information
Your dining time and table allocation will be waiting for you in your cabin.
Any speciality dining vouchers will be placed in your cabin ahead of your dining experience.
Booked a tour?
Your tickets will be printed and waiting in your cabin when you board no later than 24 hrs before your tour departs.
On the day of your tour, please meet in the location shown in The Daily Times, at the time shown on your ticket and follow the instructions on the big screen (and provided by our crew).
