S2601 - M27 Closure 4th January 2026 - Embarkation Day

M27 Closure over Festive and New Year Period:
From 8pm on 24th December 2025 until 4am on Sunday 4th January 2026:
- The M27 will be fully closed in both directions between Junctions 9 (Whiteley) and 11 (Fareham)
- During these dates, a signed diversion route will be in operation. This route is expected to be very busy, with peak demand between 10am and 4pm

Please check local traffic updates before you set of for Portsmouth and ensure you arrive at check-in before it closes.
Additional Information:
- Drivers will be able to exit the M27 westbound at Junction 11 for Fareham and Gosport, and eastbound at Junction 9 for Whiteley and Park Gate.
- However, there will be no westbound entry to the M27 at Junction 11 for traffic heading towards Southampton or the A32 (Alton), and no eastbound entry at Junction 9 for traffic heading towards Portsmouth.
