Flying from the UK – What to Expect on the Day of Travel

This page is for Guests travelling on our exclusive easyJet flights, with only fellow Fred. Olsen passengers onboard
We'll be providing more information for guests on our non-exclusive flights and cruise only guests in July.
Alert
We’ll send your easyJet booking reference 14 days before departure. Once you have it, please check-in using the easyJet website or app before heading to the airport. Don’t worry, we’ll share a handy step-by-step guide on how to do this.
Idea
We’ll be adding more detail to this page in July, including for flights home. We’ll also be in touch by email, making sure you have everything you need to feel confident and ready for your travel day (plus, you'll find key detail in your Journey Guide, arriving on your doormat around 12 weeks before your cruise).

🧳 Twilight bag drop
If you’re staying at or near Gatwick or Manchester Airport the evening before your flight, you may wish to use easyJet’s twilight bag drop. This allows you to check in your luggage the night before, helping you enjoy a calmer start to your journey the next day.
You can find full details here.

🧳 Luggage Allowance with easyJet (per person)
·       x1 hand luggage (measuring no more than 45 x 36 x 20 cm) and must fit under the seat in front of you
·       x1 hold luggage with generous 23kg weight limit

🛫 Before You Arrive at the UK Airport
As we mentioned, please check-in before arriving at the airport via the easyJet website or app.
Our how to guide will be available to view closer to your check-in day.
We'll send your easyJet reference 14 days before embarkation day.

🛬 At the UK Airport
Head to the easyJet bag drop area, as listed below. Our team will be nearby to point you in the right direction.

Bag drop location & opening times:
London Gatwick: North Terminal
Bag-drop opens 2.5 hours before your flight and closes 60 minutes before departure

Manchester: Terminal 2
Bag-drop opens 3 hours before your flight and closes 60 minutes before departure

If you’ve booked airport assistance, our team will guide you to the relevant bag drop area in the terminal, where the airport staff will look after you.

Once you’ve dropped your bags and cleared security, please keep an eye on the information screens for the gate announcement.
Our team will be at the gate and onboard the plane with you, sat in seats 1A and 1B.

🌍 On Arrival at Your Destination Airport:
- Our team will depart the plane first to and be in place at the luggage carousel
- You’ll need to collect your luggage from the carousel and head through customs
- Once through customs, look for our team in branded uniforms holding Fred. Olsen signs in the arrivals hall and they’ll guide you to your coach transfer.
- Your luggage will be loaded onto the coach or a separate truck and delivered directly to your cabin.
- Coaches will be parked near the terminal (there may be short waits for departures)
