EU Entry/Exit System (EES)
Information for Balmoral Fly-Cruises
The EU's Entry/Exit System (EES)
applies across the Schengen Area (find a list of these countries here) Here's a guide to what you need to
know about EES on our fly cruises:
Guests flying to and from
Balmoral:
If you're flying into or out of
the below destinations from the UK, EES entry checks will take place on arrival
at the airport:
Embarking in Southampton and
flying home:
Guests embarking in Southampton
and flying home from Spain, Greece or Malta, you will need to complete EES
entry registration at the port on disembarkation day - we'll provide more
details when on your cruise.
Exit registration will take place
at the airport before flying home.
*If you are flying home from Cyprus,
you will not be required to complete EES, but you will need to pass through
immigration at the port and the airport.
Embarking in Spain, Greece or
Malta and disembarking in Southampton
EES entry registration will place
at your arrival airport upon landing
You'll need to complete EES exit
registration at the port, this will likely be your embarkation port - we'll
provide all the details you need before departure.
*If you are embarking in Cyprus
and disembarking in Southampton, you will not be required to complete EES, but
you will need to pass through immigration at the port.
UK Border Force will also carry
out face-to-face immigration checks with all guests on the morning of arrival
into Southampton. Full details will be provided on board.
Embarking in Limassol and
flying home Spain, Greece or Malta
You'll complete EES entry
registration at the port on the day you disembark from Balmoral.
EES exit registration will take
place at the airport before flying home.
Embarking in Spain, Greece or
Malta and disembarking in Limassol:
Entry EES registration will take
place at the airport
EES exit registration will be
required at the port on embarkation day, full details will be provided prior to
your cruise.
Disembarking in Tenerife if you
joined us in Southampton and Cyprus:
Guests who joined us in Southampton
or Cyprus will need to complete EES exit registration at the port when
disembarking. The immigration office is separate from the cruise terminal. Full
details will be provided on board.
Guests embarking in Tenerife:
EES entry registration will take
place at the airport.
As this is the last embarkation
port before Balmoral returns to the UK all guests will be required to do
EES exit registration at the port.
Your coach transfer from the
airport will first stop at the immigration office where EES exit registration
will take place. After completing immigration you will board the coach transfer
again for the short journey to check-in
Guests who have made their own
travel arrangements to Tenerife must visit the immigration office before
heading to the cruise terminal

It's your responsibility to complete EES entry and
exit registrations when required by border officials or crew.
Failure to register may cause difficulties entering
or leaving the Schengen Area in future.
