Do I need a passport to go on a cruise?
Important travel document information for your cruise holiday
To help you enjoy a smooth and stress-free start to your cruise, here’s what you need to know about passports and photo ID:
Cruises visiting non-UK ports
If your cruise includes destinations outside the UK (excluding Ireland), please ensure:
You have a full and valid passport.
Your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.
If you renewed your passport early, any extra months beyond 10 years may not count toward the 6 month requirement.
Passport renewals can take time—please allow at least one month and longer during busy holiday periods.
You must present your passport at check-in. Unfortunately, guests without a valid passport will be denied boarding.
Keep your passport in your hand luggage so it’s easy to access.
British Isles cruises (UK Ports Only)
Require a valid UK Passport.
The Passport must be valid for three months from the date of disembarkation
And be less than 10 years old.
