Can I go ashore independently?
Independent exploration
- You’re free to explore most ports on your own once the ship has been cleared by customs and immigration.
- Your cruise fare includes all port taxes and charges, so you can get on and off the ship as often as you like while in port.
- In some destinations, independent exploration may not be permitted due to local regulations or visa requirements — we’ll let you know in advance if this applies.
Shuttle services
- If the ship is berthed some distance from the town centre, we often provide a shuttle bus service to help you get around easily and affordably.
- All key information will be shared in your Daily Times and via announcements on board.

- You’ll receive a printed Journey Guide for each port, packed with:
- Top attractions
- Local tips
- Helpful advice to make the most of your time ashore
Organised shore tours
