L2629 - Update to Itinerary

We're looking forward to welcoming you on board Balmoral for your European Cities and Scenic Rivers cruise.

We're writing to you to share an update to your itinerary and explain what this means for your cruise.

What's changing?
Our planned two night call to Pauillac will be replaced with a two night stay in Bordeaux.
This means you'll have the opportunity to spend even more time exploring one of France's most vibrant and beautiful cities, right from its historic heart.

Why have we made this change?
Following the recent wildfires which affected the region, we're pleased to share that Bordeaux is once again welcoming visitors.

Throughout the past few weeks, we stayed in close contact with local authorities, following their guidance every step of the way, and it's on their recommendation we're now able to bring guests directly into the heart of the city centre.

We've always believed our itineraries are about more than destinations, they're about building meaningful relationships with the places we visit, and right now, we believe the best way to honour our relationship is to support Bordeaux's recovery by returning directly into the city.

Why Bordeaux?
By berthing in Bordeaux itself, you'll be perfectly placed to explore independently, with many of the city's attractions, cafés, restaurants and historic landmarks within easy reach of the ship. They'll be no need for onward transfers, as there would've been from Pauillac, allowing you to make the most of your time ashore.

What if I have a tour booked?
We're pleased to say the majority of tours will go ahead as planned, although we may have to make some tweaks to the timings.

Where we need to make any changes, be assured we'll be in touch later this week.

If you've arranged a tour or excursion with an independent company, please contact them directly to make them aware of this change.
