Lunch & Evening Meals in our Main Dining Room & other options

We have several options for you to chose where to dine for your lunch & evening meal.

Here's a quick guide to our lunch & evening meal options across the ship.

The Main Dining Room Lunch
  1. The opening hours can be found in The Daily Times (a "Whats On" Guide delivered to your cabin each evening).  Typical hours are 12:00pm to 1:30pm.
  2. There is no set table allocation for guests during lunch
  3. Relaxed clothing is the order of the day, (more information on dress codes can be found below)
  4. On arrival, our Maître d' and tea will warmly welcome you and guide you to your table.
  5. Our friendly crew will offer you inclusive wine, beer (non alcoholic options are also available), or soft drinks if you are travelling on a Freedom Fare. 
  6. Once your order has been taken, simply sit back, relax and enjoy your lunch.

Other Lunch Options
  1. Bolette & Borealis has The Poolside Dining area which is open for lunch typically from 12:00pm to 5:00pm daily (weather permitting). Typical options are Fish & Chips, Burgers and a Ploughman's lunch.
  2. Borealis has Fresco Dining (open air dining) which serves Pizza & Tapas which is open 12:00pm to 6:00pm (weather permitting)
  3. The View  (Bolette & Borealis) & The Thistle (Balmoral) Buffet is open 12:00pm to 14:00pm.
  4. Afternoon Tea is served in The View (Bolette & Borealis) and The Thistle (Balmoral) typically 3:45pm to 4:45pm.
  5. Room Service is also available from typically 10:00am to 11:00pm.

Evening Meal Options

The dining experience in the Main Dining Restaurant is from our a'la Carte menu and is waiter served. Your Restaurant and table number will be in your cabin upon arrival.

The first dining time is 6pm and the second dining time is 8pm (this will have been pre booked if you are on Freedom Fare or will be allocated by us if on a Saver Fare)

Bolette Restaurants are called Bloomsbury & Terrace
Borealis Restaurants are called Borealis & Aurora
Balmoral Restaurants are called Avon, Spey (smaller restaurants) and Ballindalloch (large restaurant)

Casual dining is available in The View (buffet) and is open sitting dining typically from 6:00pm to 8:30pm


Speciality Restaurant - "Colours & Tastes" 

This is our speciality restaurant and is all about giving you an unforgettable dining experience with a tasty twist. Opening times are typically 6:00pm to 8.30pm.

Throughout your cruise, you can enjoy three different menus on rotation:
  1. The indulgent Gourmet Grill
  2. The classic and comforting Traditional Italian
  3. The exciting and bold Asian Fusion
  1. You can pre-book via My Cruises from 13 weeks before you sail, up to 24 hours before departure, for just £20 per person.
    Prefer to decide once on board? No problem – you can book on board for £25 per person, charged to your on board account.
A speciality dining voucher will be placed in your cabin the evening before your reservation, so you’ll have everything you need ahead of your dining experience

The Chef’s Table Experience
  1. If you love good food and want something really special, our Chef’s Table Experience is perfect for you!
  2. Join our Head Chef and their team for an intimate evening where you’ll enjoy a delicious multi-course tasting menu made with the freshest ingredients. 
  3. It’s a relaxed, fun night full of great food, great company and a few surprises along the way!
  4. Spaces are limited and are available at £100pp, so we recommend booking early through My Cruises or just ask Guest Services once you’re on board. You won’t want to miss it!
Supper Club

If you are still feeling peckish, our late night Supper Club is available in The View on Bolette & Borealis and The Thistle on Balmoral from 11:00pm to midnight.
