Cabin types & grades

Picking the right cabin can be the difference between a good cruise and an unforgettable one! The perfect choice can make you more comfortable, help you save money and really shape your overall experience.

Just as cruise ships come in a range of sizes and types, so do the cabins within them. A ship cabin is similar to a hotel room, in that there’s a variety of choices when it comes to extra amenities, views and facilities, depending on your tastes and budget.

A matrix comparing cabin features for Fred. Olsen cabin types
  1. Interior Cabin
These cabins are tucked away in the heart of the ship, so there aren’t any windows or natural light – but that’s part of their charm! They’re cosy, bright, and a brilliant choice if you’d like to keep your budget for all the exciting experiences during your cruise.

I Grade Interior Cabins
  1. Located towards the forward or aft ends of the ship (located on the lower deck positions on Balmoral)
  2. Great value for guests who want comfort at the best price
H Grade Interior Cabins
  1. Positioned generally midship and may be on a higher deck (positioned forward on Balmoral on deck 6 and midship & aft on Balmoral on deck 5)
  2. Priced slightly higher for added stability and convenience

(Prices are based on two people sharing an interior cabin.)
